About Radiesse
Radiesse is a strong, long-lasting filler used to augment the cheeks, lift sagging jowls, soften naso-labial folds and reduce marionette lines. How it Works
Radiesse is made up of calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres that are suspended in a hydrated gel matrix. When this dermal filler is injected into the skin, it immediately boosts the volume of the underlying structures, essentially acting like a scaffold to soften wrinkles and fine lines. Radiesse also stimulates collagen to create a prolonged effect that leaves the skin wrinkle free, smooth, and vibrant looking. The effects of Radiesse are expected to last 12 to 18 months for most patients, even more for some. We like to have our filler patients to return to the office for follow up at two weeks to one month. Regular filler maintenance is essential to maintain your fresh look.
The most common side effects with Radiesse include tenderness, redness, swelling and bruising at the injection sites. These are expected to improve within a week. We do our best to minimize bruising during the treatment and will always apply arnica, ice and send you home with specific post care instructions to expedite your healing.
Patients that experience sudden pain or persistent issues at the site of injection are advised to seek immediate medical attention to prevent further complication.
