About CoolSculpting
CoolSculpting is a remarkably easy procedure that gets rid of stubborn fat effectively and safely without having to go under the knife. It is the only procedure cleared by the FDA to utilize controlled cooling and eliminate fat that is resistant to diet and exercise. How it Works
During CoolSculpting, fat cells are frozen at high temperatures, leaving surrounding tissues unharmed because of its precisely controlled technology. The targeted fat cells die and the body naturally processes these dead cells, eliminating them from the system through natural excretory processes. We can safely and effectively reduce the unwanted tissue in each treated area by approximately 20%, giving you the sculpted physique you used to have or the one you always dreamed of having. Depending on the amount of tissue to be reduced, additional treatments may be recommended for optimal results.

The staff at the Los Feliz Med Spa that provides CoolSculpting treatments are a team of highly trained experts who’ve been doing CoolSculpting for several years and know how to assess the body. The staff consists of medical providers, medical assistants, registered nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants and are the only people who will be providing the CoolSculpting procedures. Dr Michele Ware is involved in every treatment that happens at the Los Feliz Med Spa and has been in the industry for over 15 years.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Some patients will see results as early as 8 weeks but optimal results will be experienced at 3 months. The body will continue to flush out the frozen fat cells about four to six months following treatment and once they are gone, they are gone for good.
Temporary markings are made during an assessment to precisely place the applicator on the targeted area. This will be experienced as a mild tugging sensation as the tissue is pulled into the applicator. The cold sensation follows which is experienced as a tingling or mild ache. You soon become numb in the treated area for the remainder of the procedure, which is typically 35 to 45 minutes long. While CoolSculpting is performed, you can easily sit back and relax as your body gets rid of stubborn fat. When the treatment is finished, the applicator is removed and a 2 minute vigorous massage follows to help enhance the effectiveness of the treatment.
Although CoolSculpting is a non-surgical procedure, we still advise our patients to take the day off and relax. The next day you can resume normal activities.
Some numbness and tenderness can be expected in the targeted area post treatment. This will gradually subside over a few weeks. Bruising is uncommon but can happen and will resolve in about 7 to 10 days.
