About Accutite
AccuTite is a minimally invasive procedure that delivers radiofrequency (RF) energy under the skin to liquefy fat and tighten the skin simultaneously. Our Accutite procedure includes Morpheus8 that is an internal radiofrequency tightening with external microneedling to sculpt, firm, and rejuvenate the skin—addressing laxity, contour, and texture in one advanced treatment.
Because the device is incredibly small, it allows providers to treat delicate, hard-to-reach areas that were previously only treatable with surgery (like a blepharoplasty for eyes) or were risky to treat with larger devices.
Technology: RFAL (Radio-Frequency Assisted Lipolysis).
Goal: Fat reduction (lipolysis) + Skin Tightening (soft tissue contraction).
How it Works
2. How It Works (The “Sandwich” Technique)
The AccuTite handpiece has a two-pronged design that works like a sandwich:
Internal Electrode: A very thin cannula is inserted under the skin through a tiny needle puncture. This emits RF heat internally to melt fat cells and shrink the fibrous septae (the connective tissue holding skin to muscle).
External Electrode: A flat electrode sits on top of the skin, mirroring the movement of the internal one.
The Result: The RF energy flows between the two probes, heating the entire skin thickness. This controlled thermal injury triggers a massive production of new collagen and elastin, effectively “shrink-wrapping” the skin to the underlying contour.
3. Target Areas
Because of its small size (precision), AccuTite is used for areas that require fine detail.
Face & Neck:
Brows: Non-surgical brow lift.
Periorbital (Eyes): Treating lower eye bags and tightening crepey skin on upper lids.
Nasolabial Folds: The “smile lines.”
Marionette Lines: The lines running from the mouth to chin.
Jowls & Jawline: Sharpening the contour.
Body:
Axilla: The “bra fat” bulge near the armpit.
Upper Arms: Small areas of bingo wings.
Hands: Tightening loose skin on the back of hands.
Knees: Sagging skin above the knee caps.
4. The Procedure Steps
Anesthesia: The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia (tumescent numbing fluid). The patient is awake but feels no pain, only some pressure or warmth.
Incision: A tiny needle puncture is made (no scalpel, usually no stitches required).
Treatment: The physician inserts the cannula and glides it back and forth. You may hear a popping or crackling sound (this is the fat melting).
Safety: The InMode system has rigorous safety cut-offs. It monitors the skin temperature thousands of times per second and automatically cuts the power if the skin gets too hot, preventing burns.
Duration: 15 to 45 minutes, depending on the number of areas treated.
5. Recovery & Downtime
While minimally invasive, it is not “zero downtime” like a simple laser facial.
Immediate: You can go home immediately.
Swelling/Bruising: Expect significant swelling and potential bruising for 3 to 7 days, especially if treating sensitive areas like the eyes.
Compression: Patients usually wear a compression garment (like a chin strap) for a few days to reduce swelling and help the skin adhere to the new contour.
Return to Work: Most patients return to work in 2–5 days.
6. Results and Longevity
Immediate: Some tightening is visible immediately due to the heat contracting the tissue.
Progressive: The real magic happens over time. As the body heals and produces new collagen, results improve significantly.
Peak Results: Best results are usually seen at the 6-month mark.
Longevity: Results are considered permanent regarding fat loss (fat cells are destroyed). The skin tightening can last 1 to 5 years, depending on the patient’s natural aging process and lifestyle.
