How is Restylane used?
The doctor determines the trouble areas where Restylane will be administered and these areas can be numbed using a local anesthetic to minimize discomfort during the procedure. Small amounts of the Restylane will then be injected into these areas and distributed evenly using very gentle pressure. This procedure is often used to treat the deeper wrinkles around the patient’s mouth- the nasolabial folds, the corners of the mouth, and the marionette lines. Each session will take about 45 minutes to complete depending on the extent of correction to be done.

How long will the Restylane results last?
The results obtained with the initial treatment with Restylane will be immediately noticeable right after the procedure and can last for up to 9 months, with outcomes varying from patient to patient. Usually, follow up injections will be required to maintain the initial results at the 9 and 18-month marks of the treatment plan.
